Our Princess
Kira
My husband & I are animal lovers, we have a 10 year old, male, Jack
Russell
mix, a 2 year old, male, 135 pounds of pure sweetness
Rottie, a Tortishell female
cat about 10 years old, gerbils, hamsters & birds. My
husband and I had agreed
that for a while we would not get anymore pets. Right!!!
But our dear Lord decided otherwise. Back in August/04,
I was at work and my
co-worker
Rory called me, to please go to the parking lot, that I
needed to see something, that needed me to take it home.
Working at the Humane Society that
could only mean a dog or a cat. To which I answered her
that no thanks; but I did
not need to see anything because that would only get me
into trouble, and I had
agreed not to have anymore pets for a while. But she
insisted that I go out to the parking; I did; with the
idea in mind that if it was a animal that needed help I
will
foster it until it could get a home, I didn't know at
the time that her home was my
home.
There she was! running at me, knocking me over, and
licking my face, this
beautiful Fawn Boxer, this pretty girl, with sad eyes,
and under weight. She knew,
even before I did; that she had found her mom and dad,
she had found her home.
The shelter couldn't take her, we didn't have any runs
available, and the person
that brought her in, couldn't keep her any longer, she
had found her tied to a tree,
she had other pets, and could not keep her. This poor
dog had her neck
completely red of being tied up, for a long time.
Needless to say I called my husband, I asked him to come
over, he did, he took
one look at her and it was love at first sight for both
of them, he had found a
daughter and she found her dad. Our Princess Kira had
found a home for life.
We can't imagine our life with out her.
She is a wonderful pet and gets along with all of our
other pets. To my co-worker
Rory thanks for bringing to our life this wonderful
Princess.
Sincerely,
The Flores Family

Baby Girl
She's doing great! She
loves running around on the 5 acres!
She is actually a
VERY fast running dog!
The only thing she is still a little skittish about is
her dad! But
were still trying to get her used to him
but she's adopted his
son as her dad I think! Thanks
again for such a loveable and
great dog!

Mylo and
Suzie
My
husband and I were getting married in Sept and I wanted
to adopt
a small dog for my aunt, since she waited until our wedding to
get another dog. My aunt was forced to let her
dog go due to old
age. We went to the shelter and asked for
a small dog. After
weeks of waiting, we adopted Mylo. After a week my husband and I
couldn't part with Mylo and neither
could the other two dogs we
have, so we then adopted
another small dog named Suzie from the
shelter.
Now both dogs are very happy with their new homes. I believe
that things happen for a good reason. If it wasn't for the great
workers at the shelter, we would have never found Mylo and
Suzie. Thank you to everyone for your help in placing two
wonderful dogs into loving homes.

Xander
My wife and I adopted a stray cat, Lilo, a few months ago.
We wanted to get her a companion, and Xander looked to be
the perfect match.
Xander is an awesome addition to our family. He loves
attention, and enjoys napping on the couch. He was very
skittish at first,
but is slowly getting used to the noise
and movements of the people in our family.
Lilo wasn't very happy that
he was "in her territory," but after
about a week they
became very comfortable around one
another.
