It is with great pride that I announce that Paul Montante, President of the Humane Society of the Nature Coast has been honored by Governor Bush as the first ever Humane Volunteer of the Year in the state of Florida.  Paul was selected from a field of candidates throughout the state and presented with his award Thursday at a reception at the Governor's Mansion .

Those who know Paul, know that this is well deserved.  He is a quiet and shy man who works behind the scenes to accomplish great things in the field of animal welfare.  We are so proud to have him at the helm of our organization and hope he will continue to serve as our president for another term.

CONGRATULATIONS PAUL!  You make us proud!

Emergency Animal Fund
The Humane Society has established an animal emergency fund. As you can see, some of our friends come to us with serious illness or injuries. These are treatable injuries or ailments that are very costly to treat and we need your help to do it. If you would like to help us with this important work, please make your check out to The Humane Society of the Nature Coast and write ‘Emergency Medical Fund’ in the memo line.
 - Thank You!
A special thanks to Amsouth Bank for donating an account for our Emergency Animal Fund!
